Head of Facilities and Health & Safety

A rewarding opportunity has arisen within our exciting and expanding organisation, looking to appoint an experienced and well-motivated Head of Facilities and Health & Safety to join us on a permanent basis.

The organisation operates primary care at scale on a national basis providing GP primary care services to over 600,000 patients out of 67 locations. 

Leading our facilities management team, this is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking for a highly responsible and gratifying role, which will involve them becoming an integral part of the team. Role Responsibility

Key duties will include:

  • Overall responsibility for Facilities Management and Health and Safety across the Operose Health Group.
  • Delivery of front-line services for facilities, compliance, and health & safety.  Directly managed at 35 locations and secondary management of remaining 42 locations.
  • Leads on compliance and facilities management for new tender mobilisations, demobilisations and CQC Inspections.
  • Service charge management
  • Manages H&S inspections, FRAs, LRAs and all compliance matters for all GP Practices.
  • Supply chain management
  • Ensure OH meets its statutory obligations in Health & Safety and FM provision.
  • Managing service contracts across all services for cleaning, waste, energy, storage solutions, etc.
  • Leads on incident investigations and reporting to Exec team on all matters.

The Ideal Candidate

Interested? What you will need to be considered:

  • Facilities Management experience
  • Experienced in use of a CAFM system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience of providing a facilities or maintenance service in a busy organisation
  • Experience of working with contractors and suppliers and monitoring of service standards
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and working with service level agreements
  • Proven experience of delivering excellent customer care and service in a large organisation
  • Experience of complaints handling and follow up procedures
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to learn about and get involved in the department’s activities
  • Strong written, oral, problem solving & time management skills
  • The ability to deal tactfully, calmly, and effectively with a wide range of people from within and outside the organisation
  • Be able to work independently without regular direct supervision
  • Understand H&S compliance regulations with regards to Risk Assessments
