Job Introduction
Operose Health have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Lead to join our Recruitment Team. The role will be responsible for achieving the organisations overall recruitment strategy and report directly into the Director of Recruitment and Systems.
This will be a critical role with high impact across the organisation that will require commitment and enthusiasm. This role’s main objective is to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time, in turn, ensuring the highest patient care.
Role Responsibility
Nature and Scope:
The individual in the role will be required to:
- Have a customer service mentality; treating colleagues across the organisation as customers and committing to service levels that can be relied upon.
- Be an expert in recruitment and resourcing within the healthcare sector.
- Be willing and able to get ‘hands on’ in activities required on a day-to-day basis as well as in relation to delivering the overall service and continuous improvement.

- Be a thought-leader in recruitment, putting the organisation ahead of the competition in terms of innovative and effective recruitment and resourcing strategies.
General
- Manage and actively participate in the delivery of recruitment and resourcing services to the organisation which are designed to support operational activities and are cost-effective, value for money and consistent with the overall strategy.
- Develop close working relationships with colleague across the organisation, with a particular emphasis on supporting all recruiting Line Managers.
- Provide accurate, commercially-focused and trusted recruitment and resourcing advice to managers based on sound technical knowledge as well as the organisation’s published policies and procedures.
- Ensure the recruitment of both employees, self-employed workers, and agency workers are compliant with relevant legislation, ethically-sound and recruits comply with professional standards/registration requirements.
- Monitor and report on performance against Key Performance Indicators e.g. time to hire.
- Manage, review and develop positive and effective relationships with recruitment and resourcing third-party providers.
- Facilitate the interview and selection process through to offer and on-boarding.
- Management of all internal and external enquiries received
- Ensure all recruitment activities not only comply with, but actively promote equal opportunities and diversity within the organisation’s workforce.
- Develop and maintain a recruitment pipeline/bank of talent for both permanent and temporary roles.
- Promote the organisation’s image, reputation and values and behaviours as an employer of choice in as many potential marketplaces as possible
Technical
- Keep abreast of developments in Recruitment and Resourcing best practice and recommend changes to processes and policies to maximise effectiveness and ensure compliance.
- Coach and mentor recruiting line managers in effective recruitment techniques e.g. interviewing skills
- Interpret resourcing plans, define role requirements and develop innovative sourcing options including networking, headhunting and building talent pools.
- Develop project plans and manage the roll out of recruitment campaigns and projects locally, regionally, nationally and where appropriate, internationally.
- Drive forward direct candidate sourcing and screening including marketing the benefits internally and creating a culture of internal referral (Finder’s Fee Policy).
- Further develop and consolidate the organisation’s approach to selection techniques, including any assessments required for the process.
- Working with hiring managers to develop sourcing strategies including writing detailed, accurate job specifications.
- Manage recruitment advertising internally and externally via various methods e.g. websites, agencies, job boards, media and social media.
- Benchmark employee offering from the organisation against industry standards/trends and make recommendations for alterations to remain competitive in the labour market.
The Ideal Candidate
- The ideal candidate will have over experience of Agency or In-House recruitment.
- Proven track record of managing tactical and strategic recruitment and resourcing issues.
- Extremely well networked in the primary care market
- Experienced in communicating with Registrars and trainees and selling the virtues of joining primary care companies
- Experience of managing candidates through the full end to end recruitment process
- Evidence of organising medium/large-scale recruitment and assessment processes/events
- Experience of using and developing applicant tracking systems, in particular identifying methods of improving efficiency and MI reporting.
- Experience of NHS Jobs portal and healthcare environment
