Senior Nurse Manager

Job Introduction

We are looking for Senior Nurse Manager with extensive clinical experience in Primary Care Health settings and leading nursing teams to join our supportive and friendly team.  

Operose Health are looking for an Senior Nurse Manager for 37.5 hours per week, covering services across Leeds, Doncaster, Nottingham and Birmingham

 

Role Responsibility

Key duties will include:

  • You will work as part of the Regional Leadership team to lead the delivery of all aspects of a high-quality nursing service throughout the services and surgeries operated by the organisation within the designated geographical region. To be professionally accountable for all nursing colleagues in the region and to provide leadership to the implementation and monitoring of all clinical aspects of nursing care to ensure clinical excellence, in line with our organisational policies and priorities.
  • Provide, leadership, supervision, support, and advice to Lead Nurses.
  • To oversee the nursing teams within the designated region ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Support the Region with the recruitment and retention of nursing teams.
  • Ensuring an effective and practical induction for new Lead Nurses.
  • Support with the training and development of the Lead Nurse and wider Nursing Team (including Mandatory Training).
  • Ongoing mentorship of the Lead Nursing team to support continued development in the form of regular consultation audits and 1:2:1s.
  • Working in collaboration with the Senior Operations team to support the delivery of Nursing KPIs e.g., Childhood Immunisations, Cervical Screening, Flu Vaccinations.
  • Overseeing CQC nursing compliance using the resources and tools in place and ensuring that policies are implemented and followed across the organisation e.g., IPC, cold chain.
  • Ensure that all nursing staff are engaged with reporting and learning from incidents, complaints, and compliments, as well as regularly reviewing the performance of the practice NQITs and ensuring appropriate escalation of any persistent non-compliance.
  • Develop and maintain an effective and informative regular Nurses forum alongside fellow Senior Nurse Managers and to monitor service delivery issues and develop and implement plans to improve services.
  • To work closely with the Regional and Practice Managers to ensure all targets and KPIs are met to improve service with collaborative working.
  • To lead on the Clinical delivery of QOF and ES and ensure maximum achievement of targets in Nursing domains, supporting recalling, LTC clinics and prevalence work.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive clinical experience in Primary Care Health settings and leading nursing teams.
  • Extensive experience of the primary care CQC inspections.
  • Ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care.
  • Excellent understanding of National and Organisational policy.
  • Understanding of quality improvement Programmes and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of current political agenda influencing health 
  • Ability to identify training needs of self and team to provide relevant and appropriate experience to all learners with an ability to teach/ disseminate knowledge and skills.
  • Leadership qualification (desirable)
